Cherry Chap Stick

This icon of my childhood always reminded me of cold winters in Illinois, removing it from my pocket and applying it generously always made the winter more bearable on my lips. This icon is now a symbol of our corrupt society and what is considered acceptable thanks to Katie Perry. I am sure you have heard the song that destroyed the reputation of such an innocent object. "I kissed a girl and I liked it, the taste of her Cherry Chap Stick", those are the lyrics of Perry's song. It made its way to number one on iTunes downloads. Has our society really fallen that low that a song about women kissing has made it to number one, corrupting the radio. I want my old icon back, I want to associate Cherry Chap Stick with winter, but now every time I see a woman applying Cherry Chap Stick I will wonder just how many girls has she kissed?
